Ricoh Printhead Evaluation Kit

Overview

The RPSA Evaluation Kit allows evaluators to establish the interaction of the print head being tested with candidate fluids. Jetted drops can be evaluated for direction, weight, speed and shape. These are all critical measurements to support the technical decision-making to effectively integrate the print head into a printing system.

The Evaluation Kit operating system allows print head drive pulses to be varied and the effects measured. This permits the integrator to optimize the characteristics of the system elements to achieve the most efficient system performance tuned to the particular application.

Functions of the evaluation device

Drive waveform setting, nozzle specification

• Set the combination of drive waveforms for each head (row).
• Set the drive waveform for each nozzle for each head (row).

Still image and video recording, analysis

• Using a strobe, you can observe droplets still and video.
• It is possible to set the strobe light intensity (emission time) and automatically adjust the light intensity.
• Observation images can be saved as image files.

Dispensing function

• You can apply from a bitmap format file.
• Coating range: Extended coating system EV2500 210 mm × 297 mm (A4 equivalent)
• The head and nozzle to be used can be selected arbitrarily.
• You can set the coating start position and range.
